How does our gas leak detector work to keep you safe?
Our gas detector will protect your family and property from gas explosion by triggering solenoid valve shut-off to cut gas flow, sound alarm and flash light to alert the occupants of the danger immediately there is gas leak of 0.5% by volume in air (10% LEL) safe level internationally set for LPG detector. This helps to prevent false alarms due to minor leak during ignition.
The alarm automatically resets ready to detect new leak as soon as the gas leave the room. As safety precaution the valve stays closed and must be reset manually after inspection and fixing the leak source.
Gas explosion is preventable
For a gas explosion occur there, there must be an accumulated mix of gas and air (within its flammability limits) 5% – 17% by volume of air combined plus a source of ignition (not too lean or too much concentration of gas). The detector comes into play working together with solenoid valve to trigger automatic shut off of gas flow within safe level thereby averting an explosion.
Increased safety concerns with cases of gas explosions have been reported on in the recent past. While the causes range from illegal refilling, illegal rebranding, and counterfeiting of gas cylinders, it is becoming increasingly important to take individual caution to ensure family safety as we wait for the regulators to put the house in order.
How is our product different?
Our gas detector is an electronic measuring instrument that measure the content of flammable gas in the air and send signal to shut-off a solenoid valve within prescribed safety level. Other products in the market us sudden drop in pressure through the valve as a means to trigger shut-off. From what i have seen going round in the media, it was time to find something that would help protect my family. Please don’t rely on your nose to tell you have a gas leak!
