Do not take chances. Smelling gas in your home is an indicator of a disaster waiting to happen. Cooking gas explosions are on the rise. They happen in a flash and when they do, they often sweep the entire household. Victims surviving gas tragedy often say that the rotten eggs smell additive in the gas was not present. Gas explosions can be prevented with a a detector working and an automatic shut-off valve.
You may not have a chance to prove that something was wrong with the gas and gas marketers will never not easily accept liability to avoid bad image when they are in the wrong.
We are all different when it comes to sense of smell. Some people are good at smelling while others are really poor. Our senses may also impaired by simple ailments like common cold. After a scare where my husband smelled gas upon walking in, I got really nervous. I didn’t smell it from inside. Having a detector makes me so much more at ease!
Have you wondered why no one talks of these very important gadgets?
In major cities eg. Dubai, the civil defense department have implemented 24x7x365 Remote Monitoring System to detect and report alarms in real time from fire and fire fighting systems and gas detection systems in residential, domestic, commercial and industrial buildings. They focus more on prevention. This is made possible by use of this inexpensive electronic device. No wonder the gas explosion incidences are uncommon in their high-rise residential buildings.
We are have fire blankets or extinguishers in our kitchens but one talks about the gas detector and automatic shut-off system as most effective way for averting fire disasters in residential and commercial buildings. Are we happy to say that the care givers we leave our children with are able to use these firefighting equipment or we are just ticking boxes?
How does our gas leak detector work to keep you safe?
Our gas detector will protect your family and property from gas explosion by triggering solenoid valve shut-off to cut gas flow, sound alarm and flash light to alert the occupants of the danger immediately there is gas leak of 0.5% by volume in air (10% LEL) safe level internationally set for LPG detector. This helps to prevent false alarms due to minor leak during ignition.
The alarm automatically resets ready to detect new leak as soon as the gas leave the room. As safety precaution the valve stays closed and must be reset manually after inspection and fixing the leak source.
For a gas explosion occur there, there must be an accumulated mix of gas and air (within its flammability limits) 5% – 17% by volume of air combined plus a source of ignition (not too lean or too much concentration of gas). The detector comes into play working together with solenoid valve to trigger automatic shut off of gas flow within safe level thereby averting an explosion.
Increased safety concerns with cases of gas explosions have been reported on in the recent past. While the causes range from illegal refilling, illegal rebranding, and counterfeiting of gas cylinders, it is becoming increasingly important to take individual caution to ensure family safety as we wait for the regulators to put the house in order.
How is our product different?
Our gas detector is an electronic measuring instrument that measure the content of flammable gas in the air and send signal to shut-off a solenoid valve within prescribed safety level. Other products in the market us sudden drop in pressure through the valve as a means to trigger shut-off. If gas is accidentally turned on without ignition or leak gradually these kinds of gadgets would not prevent explosion. This is why on demo the hose is completely cut-off to cause a sharp drop in pressure for the valve to work. Simply put it that our system is intelligent.
However a good in the outdoors where gas accumulation will not occur and big leak result to wastage plus they have a gauge. There is greater risk in explosion in the house than wastage of gas.
